Liberty Global is the world’s largest TV and broadband company, and owns a number of different brands around Europe including Virgin Media in the UK.
This project spanned corporate identity, messaging, branding and ultimately the production of the new Liberty Global website.
Design, Development, SEO, CMS, Mobile Website
We engaged The Web Kitchen to come up with a creative concept for and execute a complete overhaul of our corporate website, which was dated and lacking in engaging content. The brief was to create a shop window worthy of a leading modern tech and media company – which highlighted the freedom that technology can bring; the way it empowers, connects the world and brings people together. We wanted to show as well as tell, to humanise the language and demonstrate that corporate communications doesn’t have to be done in a corporate way.
Ben and his team rose to the challenge superbly – coming up with the human concept of “Meet the Liberty Global Family” and with the idea of using moving clips on the home page to illustrate both literally and figuratively how Liberty Global connects and empowers people. The overall navigation and design is second-to-none – picture-led and with beautiful, simple graphics that tell our story in an engaging and easy-to-understand way.
It was a challenging project which involved working with stakeholders across the company and across continents, but Ben took all this in his stride and worked tirelessly in partnership with many different departments to get the website across the line. I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.
